Trained leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for youth at all levels of Scouting. When leaders in a unit understand Scouting they are more effective in their roles and united in their efforts. Leaders who have direct contact with Scouting youth are asked to complete training for their position. Direct-contact leaders are Cubmasters and assistants, Den Leaders and assistants.
